The Kind Moms Club Podcast

It's the fifth Tuesday of the month, so that means a bonus episode!  And while I know it's only October, but the KMC community voted to hear about books and as your local resident book worm mama, I am here to serve the people with a recap of my reads thus far this year!  I've got my Goodreads account in hand and I'm sharing a handful of the five-star reads I've gone through in 2024 - I'll be hard-pressed to find one that tops my number one.  (I'm a thriller girlie, but I did share two cutesy little fluffy reads for those of you who like that.). This is the perfect episode for anyone looking for their next great read, something to get them out of a reading slump, or someone who wants to get into (or back into) reading fiction.

Every mom has hard days and anyone you know that pretends otherwise is lying or in denial.  This is episode is for your hard day, to help you remember that it is just a moment and doesn't define your motherhood.  Come back and listen to this as often as you need to hear it and pass it on to your mom friends because you never know who might need to hear this today, too.

If you hear the term, "self-care" and it makes you cringe, you're in the right place.  Same, girl.  Let's be real, moms don't have a lot of time for ourselves and some of us don't like bubble baths.  So what if we made self-care a lot more intentional and realistic?  Learn how to weave self-care into your rhythm of busy as a mom so that it feels more like a routine than a requirement when you're fed up and burnt out.  Plus, get some tangible ideas for self-care you can start right away.

If your kids whine, grab some wine and tune in.  We're leaving room for moms to share the hard stuff, because we all have hard stuff.  Two things can be true - motherhood can be joyful and have hard moments.  Gratitude for your kids in every season is so important, but we have to leave a little room to "complain", too.  The positive perspective I have on motherhood isn't negated when I have a moment of difficulty.  You're doing a great job, mama; we're in this together!
